In Their Own Words

WT

Wanchai Thongsuk

Retired civil servant, Bangkok

I had received a letter from the Social Security Office that I found quite confusing. I had read it several times and still was not sure what it meant for my pension. After one session with Naga Advocates, it was laid out clearly for me — what had been decided, why, and what I could do next. They did not push me in any direction. That meant a great deal.

Pranee Kongsuwan

Former factory supervisor, Nonthaburi

My experience with the formal response service was generally positive. The drafting was thorough and the team explained each part of the submission to me. The only thing I would say is that the process took longer than I had hoped — but I am told that is down to how the appeal authority works, not Naga Advocates. They kept me informed throughout, which I appreciated.

The matter was complicated — it had been running for more than a year before I approached them. Taking on the Comprehensive service was the right choice. They handled the submission process carefully and I never felt uncertain about where things stood. I could not have managed this on my own. I am grateful for the outcome and for how the team treated me throughout.

Malaiwan Charoenrat

Former teacher, Pathum Thani

I came to Naga Advocates not knowing whether I even had a case worth pursuing. They were honest with me about that from the start — and as it turned out, there was a basis to contest the decision. What I valued most was that they did not use language I could not follow. Every step was explained clearly and I always knew what had happened and what was coming next.

April 2025 — Pension Standing Review then Formal Response

BP

Boonlert Phiriyapong

Former construction manager, Bangkok

I had tried to deal with my pension appeal on my own for several months before a family member suggested I speak with Naga Advocates. I came in quite worn down by the process. The team took the time to read everything I had, explained what had gone wrong in my earlier attempt, and helped me put together a proper submission. A relief, honestly.

AS

Anchalee Suwannarat

Retired accounts manager, Bangkok

A standing review was exactly what I needed — just a clear explanation, no commitment to anything further. They went through all my documents, explained the position plainly, and pointed out two things I had not noticed. I left with a much clearer picture and, eventually, decided to proceed. The whole experience felt unhurried and respectful.

How Matters Have Unfolded

Challenge

Pension payment suspended without explanation

A retired worker in Bangkok received a notice that her monthly pension payments had been suspended. The reason given was administrative — but the notice itself was difficult to interpret and her repeated inquiries had not produced a clear answer over several weeks.

Our Approach

Standing Review, then Formal Response

We began with a standing review — gathering the original notice and any correspondence, and explaining the decision in plain terms. The suspension appeared to be based on a clerical mismatch in her records. We prepared a formal correction request with supporting documentation and submitted it on her behalf.

Outcome

Payments reinstated, arrears recovered

Within approximately eight weeks of the submission, the Social Security Office confirmed the records had been corrected and payments were reinstated. Suspended payments were also restored. Total engagement: approximately 11 weeks.

"They read everything carefully and explained it clearly. I understood what had happened for the first time."

Challenge

Appeal period missed due to unclear notice format

A retired factory worker had received a decision affecting his pension entitlement but had not acted within the standard appeal window, largely because the document had not clearly communicated the deadline. He came to us some months after the original decision.

Our Approach

Comprehensive Protection Service

We assessed whether a late submission could be made on grounds of inadequate notice. We found that the original notice had procedural deficiencies. A formal application for late review was prepared, supported by evidence of the notice's ambiguity, and submitted to the relevant administrative body.

Outcome

Late review accepted; original decision reconsidered

The late review application was accepted. The matter then proceeded through the standard reconsideration process, resulting in a partial revision of the original decision. Engagement duration: approximately six months through to resolution.

"I did not think anything could be done. They found a path I had not considered."
